Korea was fucking great. The Jejudo trip was great because of Arthur and Alex, and the Seoul National University study program was great because of all the guys. I did everything there that I wouldn't do here: get drunk, pick fights, one night stands, etc. It was awesome, and I'm going to miss the guys for a long time. Monday - Hagar's birthday at night. Great times. Got dinner at Sakura house, japanese skewers. Fucking delicious. Chris Gray is hilarious with his BJ Penn imitation. Went back to his place afterwards and hung out. A fucking squierrel chewed through my wiring under the hood of my car, and its fucked up! Argh! Had to call a mechanic at like 1am to tow my ass back to Ktown. Tuesday - At the tow shop, the guy can't figure out what's wrong, and I told him it was a squirrel. He looked at me like I was retarded, but fuck it man, I'm stuck without wheels. Shit. Anyways, managed the rest of the day somehow. Wednesday - Got dinner with Ana at Manna. It was ok. Got Scoops afterwards. It was everything I imagined it to be. Loved it. Will most definintely go again. Thursday - Went over to Johnny's to box with Austin, and got some sparring done. Gotta keep on ducking and using that jab. Saw TUF 5 afterwards. Friday - Rested at home pretty much, that's all I can think of. Saturday - Costco, Bestbuy, and Barnes and Noble. Had steak and chicken alfredo for dinner. Sunday - Got some grappling in with Toby and the BJJ crew back at school. Rolled with Jeff, this new guy. He claims to have been training standup for 6 months, but I don't see it. I schooled him both in striking and on the ground. Also rolled with David Ishida. He gave up on that armbar too easy, so I just eased in and took that front headlock. I think I've indentified my strongest submission: chokes. Any kind. Rear naked, side, guillotine, darce, whatever. That's my best one. So yeah. Went home after. Monday - Went boxing up in Northridge and learned how to jab and block block block. Tuesday - BJJ at LMU with the crew. I grappled with Daniel. It's funny, when I was sidelined from injuries, I watched these guys grapple and get better and better. My fear was that they would surpass me and I'd feel stupid, since I've been grappling a bit longer. Starting with Ishida, and now Dan, it seems that I still have more submission savvy then they do, and I end up catching them in something eventually. I better keep it up though. Then went to Hagar's house for UFN. It was one of the sickest cards ever. Sean Loeffler was there, as was Jesse, Colin, Ami, Russ, and the other hawaiian motherfuckers. Sean is fucking hilarious when he's high and drunk. Everyone is a pussy or a homo. Some of the shit he says is golden. And everything is irrelevant. Rough sched of next few days: Wednesday - Muay Thai with Hagar/Boxing with Johnny Thursday - Meet up with Andrew/Ana/(Jennie?) and get Japanese skewers, and chill at Hagars Friday - Fantastic Four? Wednesday - Friday: Work. The pay here isn't as great as I thought. Fuck Freight! I'm quitting in a week. Came home and watched "SWAT". In French. Argh. Saturday - Woke up at around noon. Picked up tickets from Ashanti, gave my old ones to Samoza, and made to cousin's junior high graduation. Then picked up Andrew, and dropped off cousin and her friends at some restaurant at Shanghai Reds. It looked bad. Then we drove over to K-1 Dynamite. Traffic was fucking TERRIBLE. Street parked and saw the fights. There were HUGE celebrities there like Dennis Rodman and All 4 One. I couldn't believe the star power. All it was missing was K-Fed, and this would have been a night to remember. Got some pretzels for dinner and watched Knocked Up. Fucking hilarious. Dialogue > All. Sunday - Woke up early and dropped cousin off at airport. Then came and picked up Andrew from my place cuz he slept over, and we got breakfast. These 2 black guys were hitting on the waitresses, and they fucking ran out on the bill. Sad. Then I changed into a suit, and we went to get some ice cream at Matshi Malone. It's good, not great. 4/5 stars. Dropped cousin off at Fullerton, and chilled for a bit. Went to KASA dinner formal at Monterey Park. It was nice. Tuesday - Met up with cousin. Got dinner at Swingers and saw Hot Fuzz. He crashed at my place. Wednesday/Thursday - Work. What else is new. Friday - After work, made a quick pit stop at my place and went to cousin's place in fullerton. Got Thai BBQ for dinner and saw Pirates 3. I was not impressed. Fucking mexicans at the Fullerton 20 AMC, im never going there again. Saturday - Did almost nothing worthwhile the whole day. Saw a bunch of Seinfeld episodes, and got lunch at hometown buffet. Convinced my uncle to order UFC 71, which he did. talked about his business for a while. It sounds booming. Rampage KOed the Iceman. Fuck yeah! Finally an upset I predicted correctly. Went home. Sunday - Got lunch with grandpa, and just chilled during the day. Met up with Sophia at night. Got Noshi Sushi, and saw 28 Weeks Later. That movie keeps on getting better. Drove around sunset and hollywood because I couldn't find Matshi Malone Ice Cream (%$#$@@%^!$%@#&^). After that, came home. Monday - Woke up late, did nothing. Had lunch with Grandpa again, and came home and slept. Parents called and said lets dine out, so we went to this haemuljjigae restaurant. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but this restaurant blew. If I could give it a rating, it would be negative 1 out of 5. I should yelp it, but I don't have a name. Got ice cream after. Tuesday - Worked sucked. Again. Big surprise. Monday - Went boxing up in Northridge. I got the jab and straight down. The hook is next! Tuesday - Started working at Touchdown Freight Shipping. Worst worker morale ever. Met this guy Pat, who turns out has worked with Shipwreck at BNX shipping. Small world. Work isn't that hard, but tedious. Afterwards, went to Irvine to see Chua. Saw 28 Weeks Later and got dinner at BJ's. Went back to the apt and watched Departed on dvd. Crashed there. Wednesday - Woke up early and went to work. Work sucks. Shipping companies suck. Thursday - Skipped work because of jury duty. I just straight out slept through the whole thing. THe good thing I guess was that I finally caught some rest. Picked up Austin and went up to Northridge to box. I got the hook down, and man, is it deadly. Saw TUF 5 afterwards. Friday - Work again, it blows. Saturday - Absolutely packed. Started off with a baptism at noon, in which i got 4 new god sons. I swear, I can start a football team now. Afterwards, went to Samoza's so we can carpool to Gia's Filipino Culture Night. Met up with Anna, Darlene, RJ, Raechelle, and Joe. It was...interesting. Gia played a hooker. HAHA. Went to her cousin's place after for dinner. Came home late. Sunday- Bought ice cream for god sons, and went back home. rested up. Monday - Was late for work cuz I got sick. Worked overtime to make up for it. Came home and changed, and went right up to Northridge to box. Worked on reflexes and Mayweather defense. Saw UFC All Access and Countdown afterwards. Tuesday - Might meet up with cousin. Mon-Wed: Summer vacation. Ah...time to fuck around and be irresponsible. Thursday: Saw "28 Weeks Later" midnight showing. Wow. Legit movie. Loved it. Friday: Went over to Johnny's house. Got some chinese food, walked around, and went back to his place. Watched Oldboy and went home. Saturday: Went to Fox Hills Mall to get Andre some shoes for his birthday. Then went to Glendale Galleria to get mom a bag for mother's day. Then went to Andre's 21st. Great brazilian bbq as usual. Played some PS3 and poker. Just chilled while everyone else played DOTA. It was 3am when it was done, so I just crashed there. Sunday: Came to church early, gave mom her mother's day gift. Went back home and slept. Mom grilled samgyupsal for dinner. Too much meat in one week... Anyways, at night helped grandma with luggage to LAX. She's going to North Korea to meet her brother who was captured and taken there during the Korean War. Last Week - Studied for Finals, Went to Best of the West Tournament. Met a bunch of MMA guys. Nam Phan, Andy Wang, Gabe Ruediger, Big John McCarthy, etc. LMU was represented. Also, moved back into parents place for summer, and plus roommate went back to NY. Fucking punk. This Week - Finals, finals, finals. I did alright. For SURE, no C's, but I want A's. We'll see. Got to see a sneak peek look at "Day of the Dead" with Hagar and Jesse. Piece of shit movie. Out of 10 stars, -2. Fucking lame ass zombies and undeveloped characters. They killed off Ving Rhames in the first 10 minutes. WHAT THE FUCK?! He's the only reason I saw the movie. "28 Weeks Later" looks promising though. Afterwards, saw TUF 5 at Hagar's house, and met Ami. Cute girl. Went home. Friday - Picked up Austin and went to the Bridge. Saw "Spiderman-3" with him, Hagar, Jesse, and Ami. It was nothing great. It was good, but if I missed out, I wouldn't have been pissed or anything. Afterwards, got Korean BBQ with ddukboksam. It's true, white people tip a gripload. Saturday - De La Hoya fight at Johnny's place w/ Thai BBQ. Saw some TUF 5 re-runs, and came home. Sunday - Patricia needed my sister for her child development class project, so I took em to In-N-Out and got em burgers while she did her report. 2 birds with one stone. Mon-Wed: School. Thursday: Picked up Ray from LAX at around 11:30pm. Got some Denny's cuz he was starving. Dropped him off and went home. Friday: After school, picked up Ray and met up with Rocky to watch Hot Fuzz. Fucking hilarious. Hung around Larchmont and dropped em both off. Saturday: Woke up late, tried to do some of my anthropology report. Went to Johnny's house later to watch UFC 70. WTF Crocop. Argh!! Sunday: Met up with Ray to watch Grindhouse. Planet Terror + Faux trailers were awesome, but fucking Deathproof was a piece of shit. I hated that movie so much. I want 90 minutes of my life back. Sigh. Stayed up all night doing the anthropology paper. Monday: skipped sociology cuz I was too tired. Turned in report and met up with group. Fuck it, I'm going to wing my report tmmrw. See what happens. Monday - Got surgery for hemorrhoids. Wrote about it on Yelp. Afterwards, got painkillers and lunch at souplantation. I need to eat a lot of greens now. And drink tons of water. Slept all day. Finally, some peace. Tuesday - Still hurt from the surgery. Skipped out on school and stayed home at parent's place. Also missed out on the Muse concert, FUCK! Wednesday - Went to school. All my professors were kool about my missed attendance. Thursday - Went to classes as usual. After eating a quick dinner, headed over to Northridge to give Vanessa my Business Law book since shes taking the class. Watched TUF 5 and some other UFC shit while I was there. Got a late late dinner with Johnny and Vanessa, and came home at around 3PM. Friday- Woke up super early because I had to go to the dentist about this painful sensation whenever I eat something too hot or too cold. He said it was nothing, and to wait it out. Whatever. Had classes, then came home. Saturday - Went to parent's place, chilled and slept. Then around afternoon, I went down to Brea to hang out with Steve hyung and the rest of the guys (Ed, Chester, Sam). Saw the beginning of "The Host" and had dinner at all you can eat meat place. I liked it. Shouldn't have gotten the third plate though. Talked about differences between dick and a jerk, grad school, and how the service keeps getting better. Went back to Steve's place and watched the rest of the Host. Fucked up ending. Good movie though. Finally got my own copy of "Oldboy". Sunday - Drove sister and cousin to church. Came back home and slept. Tuesday - Took a tour of Playa Vista with the president of the place. Really fucking nice. Good place to move into. After school, headed over to Johnny's house to get my taxes done. Afterwards, went out with him and Nick to get some pho, on JOhnny. Nice! Wednesday - Went to India's Oven with Ana. I don't see what the hype is. It was decent. I got a bunch of places I have to yelp about soon. Thursday - Headed back to Northridge to get my hair cut by Brian. Fucker forgot. Sigh. I got some Del Taco and watched TUF 5 season permiere at least. Friday - ARGH, this has happened since tuesday, but I got really bad hemorrhoids. Like, severe ones. Fuck! Drove mom and family to outlet so they can shop. The hemorrhoid was killing me. Still is. I've broken bones, had stitches, and dislocated joints, but this has got to be the worst pain ever. I can't sit, stand, or lie down without feeling extreme pain. Oh man, kill me already. The only flipside to all this was that I got a cool shirt out of the trip and some starburys. Saturday - Hemorrhoids got even worse. Couldn't make it to Easter Vigil mass. Stayed home, and picked up family after. Treated them to pho. Sunday - Easter Mass. First time I've sat through mass for a while (left early though cuz my ass was killing me). I really should just cough up the cash and go see a doctor. And while I'm at it, get some medical coverage. 2007 has been a really shitty year for me. Fuck. I don't think I can make it to school. I can barely walk to the bathroom without feeling like somethings going to pop. That's it. I'm going to call up some doctors and see what they can do. Thursday - Got dinner with Ana at Maggiano's. Then crepes after. Indian food is next on our list! Friday - classes. Turned in immigration report. Saturday - slept in? Forgot. Sunday - Went to Target with mom cuz she wants to buy convection oven and grill. Got "Casino Royale" on dvd. Monday - Prof still didnt finish reading the reports. Said she'll get em back by wednesday. Whatever. I think I hurt my back. not sure. Tuesday - skipped JJ training to help Brian and Harry move. I totally fucked up my back doing that. Herniated disc. Goodbye to training this semester. fucking a. Tired, and came home at like 2am. Fuck 11am class. Wednesday - Woke up sore as hell. Went to school anyways. Afterwards, picked up Spring and her cousin and met with Mimi, Katrina, and Anna. Got some pho for dinner, and then NRB. After that, Pinkberry. Went home after. Thursday - Classes. Also my parents 20th wedding anniversary. Dad got mom a ring, and we went to some italian restaurant. I kept wondering how much he spent, he later told me like $400 bucks. And this fucker was too cheap to lend me 20 so I could buy some dvds. Puhahaha. Friday - No school! Thank you Cesar Chavez. Took Spring's cousin to watch 300 on IMAX. Got Rubios afterwards. Came home, and for some reason, talked with Ana till 5 AM. Shit. Saturday - Woke up at noon, only 6 hours of sleep. Didn't feel too bad. Went to Target to actually BUY the convection oven and grill this time. Also got some drawers. Afterwards, picked up Sung and went to Marie Callenders. Then saw "Reign Over Me". Wow. Sandler surprised me, and Cheadle was solid as usual. Good movie. Sunday - Prob going to go to mass, and maybe see David Rodriguez. Fuck, I haven't seen the guy since graduation. 2 years now. Hopefully we can catch up on old times. Monday- Finished up last parts of Urban Analysis report. Goddamn, slept at like 4am. Not fun. Tuesday - Turned it in. Bah. Wednesday - Saw "Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes" in Anthropology class. Excellent documentary. Thursday - Chilled at home. Friday - Went to parents house. Saturday - Went to Louises for RJ's Birthday dinner. Got him "Kingdom Come". Afterwards, went over to Danny's place to chill for a while. Sunday - Went to church, but not really. Just stayed in my car while brother was altar-serving. Afterwards, played basketball with the guys and went home. Monday - FUCKING STUPIDASS MOTHERFUCKING LA DRIVERS CAUSED A HUGE CAR CRASH AND GOT ME LATE FOR SCHOOL AND I MISSED THE FIRST CLASS FUCK. Anthropology was ok. Creative Writing was cancelled. Afterwards, picked up Spring and her friend from the airport and dropped em off. Got dinner at her place after, and stopped by my parent's place since I was around the neighborhood. Tuesday - Got back my neighborhood anaylsis paper and my Asian American studies Midterm exam. Wow, so far my grades are fucking excellent (Going by midterms and paper grades). I gotta keep em up: Sociology 100: B+ Anthropology 105: A- Creative Writing 205: A Urban Studies 135: A Asian American Studies: A Ironic how sociology is my major, but thats my weakest grade. Live and learn. Monday - Thursday: Spring break. Did almost nothing worthwhile mentioning. Sleeping in, eating more than I should, it was glorious. Friday - Caught the late show of "300" with Andre. Amazing. I can't wait to see what Zack Snyder does with "Watchmen". Saturday - Woke up late, finished some of my 10 page paper. Sunday - Took bro and cousin to watch 300 at Century City. Friday- Took first half of anthropology midterm. Think I did alright. Turned in portfolio for Creative Writing. Went home. Saturday - Rushed things like crazy, and went to Best Buy to get Anna a gift card. Then went to her birthday thing. Great little filipino restaurant. Kareoke afterwards. Kinda. Went to Best Buy and bought a shitload of movies. The Magnificent Seven Unforgiven Pride Bushido 7 UFC 43 and 44 Watched Unforgiven that night. Sunday - Slept in? Monday - Took the rest of my anthropology midterm in essay format. Bah. Tuesday - Reviewed? Wednesday - MMA Class, where only Rob and I showed up. Learned Gogoplata and 3/4 guillotine choke. Thursday - Took APAM midterm and FUCKED UP! Shit! Friday - Took Sociology Midterm, ran out of time for the last essay. Sigh. Then got pizza and watched a documentary at Anthropology class. Saw Ghostrider afterwards. Better than what I expected. But then again, I didn't expect much. Monday - Met up with Robert and saw Breach. Then bought Departed on dvd. Slept all day, literally. Woke up, ate, watched superbowl, Colts won. I called it last week. Urlacher ain't got shit on Manning. Monday - Went to doctors finally. Monday - Went to classes, felt like shit. I could feel a sickness coming. Went to parent's house to infect other members and cuz my apt is COLD AS FUCK! Worked out with Alex and Solo anyways. Tuesday - Felt like shit. Stayed home. Wednesday - Still felt like shit. Went to an awards ceremony to get another scholarship. Another $1000 baby! That's book money right there. Went home, slept. Thursday - Went to school anyways. Afterwards, went to run with Alex and Solo. Taehyun and Eddie joined in. Friday - School, then workout with Alex. His room is pimped out now, wtf? Went home. Saturday - Dim sun with Han Tao in downtown LA. It was ok. Doubt I'll go again anytime soon. It was nice hanging out with Tiff, Nick, and Kaniel. Went home, and started on Urban Studies project. Was going to go out for observation, but it rained. So I stayed home. And started playing pokemon on comp through emulator. Don't hate. Sunday - Finished up some more creative writing stuff, and played some more pokemon. Then went out to see Thomas and watched Smokin' Aces. I....expected more. If I had to put a ranking, I guess 3 out of 4 frogs (yeah, I said frogs. I stole your rating system hyung.), and that's being generous. It kinda falls apart in the end. Kinda. Got In N Out after. Monday - MLK day. Thank god. Went to park with Parabot to meet up with Alex and Solo. Did some drills and workouts, and afterwards, hit up Ralphs to get stuff for dinner. Just a loaf of french bread and some chicken. Ray came over later, and after watching some tv, went to pinkberrys at larchmont. Afterwards, went home. Tuesday - Classes, as usual. Finally got that fucking grant to go through. W00t! Less loans to pay off. Went to JJ training at night. Tons of new people. Fucking Henry was neckcranking the shit out of me like it was his first day of bjj training (it was, but he has the wrestler's mindset). Fucking asshole. Wednesday - After classes, finished up some work and went to JJ training again. I can't wait to hit up South Bay JJ again in Feb. Not too many people showed up, just learned basic escapes from half guard into mount. Nothing new. Thursday - Fucking Alex and Solo were busy or something, so I came to LA early after a brief workout to see Ray to watch the sneak peek of "The Hitcher". Free popcorn and soda, so I went ktown on it and took 3 drinks and 3 sodas. Met Kat Corbett from KROQ, as well as Sophia Bush and the director. I thought this movie would be bad news the moment the director announced that Michael Bay was his mentor. I thought OH SHIT THE FUCK HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?! But I calmly told myself that Sean Bean is in this movie. It was...alright. It's only redeeming point in the movie was when fucking Sean Bean rolled up to 3 cop cars in a highway pursuit in a black corvette, killed them all, and then shot down a chopper. All while NIN-Closer was playing. BADASS. Got pinkberrys with Ray. Went home after. Friday - Worked out with Solomon, Tae Hyun, and Alex after school. Went to parent's house after, super tired and just slept. Finished up school work though. I seriously might pull off all A's this semester, at least effort wise (iuno how the midterm and finals are going to be situated, if it's multiple choice or essays). Saturday - Tired, sore, and I wanted to get ahead of my school work. Called up Sean and skipped IFL self defense seminar in Irvine. Hung out with him at night. Got pinkberrys (FUCK WHATS WRONG WITH ME?!) and then went to Blockbuster. I spent like 40 dollars on 6 movies. The Proposition, Slither, Four Brothers, Hostel, A History of Violence, and Munich. Not bad. Not bad at all. Saw Four Brothers at Sean's house. Sunday - woke up late, and after a shitty day, went down to Riverside to see Portia for her birthday. Goddamn, the drive there sucked ass. Hung out at Bow's house for a bit, was just about to see a fight, but left before hand. Went to Portia's apt for a bit, chilled there, and decided to get dinner at Old Spagetti Factory with her roommate, Kristina. Afterwards, I dropped em off home and here I am. It's strange. I finished all my schoolwork for the next 3 weeks. I've never done this before. Jiu Jitsu and school have officially taken over my life. I kinda like it.
